Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDARS)
The Certificate of Deposit Account Registry Service (CDARS) is a convenient way to enjoy full FDIC insurance on deposits of up to $50 million. When you place your deposit with Capitol Bank, we place your funds into certificates of deposit issued by banks in the CDARS network. This occurs in increments of less than the standard FDIC insurance maximum to ensure that both principal and interest are eligible for full FDIC insurance coverage.
