About the Director of Human Resources Position

The Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for performing all HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Executive Management Team and supervisors. This position is responsible for benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action/EEO-1, payroll, and employment law compliance.

Skillset & Experience:

  • Effective communication when working with customers and/or employees.
  • Ability to communicate with employees and understand their functions/processes.
  • Be involved in developing solutions to meet the needs of the customer and/or employees.
  • Flexibility to meet changing workload; highly self-motivated.
  • Be a team player and be respectful to all staff, customers, and prospects.
  • Provide leadership where assigned.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other applicable software.
  • Proficient in creating user-friendly training materials, including instructional guides, blog posts, and video tutorials.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills when working with employees.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources and a minimum of five years’ experience in a HR generalist or manager role.
  • Banking experience is preferred.
