Wisconsin Bankers Association puts on the Power of Community Week every April to highlight all the contributions that Wisconsin’s community banks make to their communities. In the era of Covid-19, Capitol Bankers had to get creative for Power of Community Week 2020. How does someone get involved in their community with social distancing and “Safer at Home” guidelines in place?

A committee at Capitol Bank organized daily opportunities for their employees to give back to their community. The week’s activities are highlighted in this video. By the end of the week, Capitol Bankers had:

  • Supported 7+ restaurants for a combined total of $3,200.
  • Sponsored a lunch for 175 SSM Dean Medical Group healthcare workers at the North High Point Road location – right next to Capitol Bank.
  • Fundraised $1,060 for 5 local non-profits.
